FAQ
Is the tank clean?
First off, salt is a natural sanitizer. It is incredibly difficult for most common bacteria and contaminants to survive. This is why The Dead Sea is called The Dead Sea. All users must shower before they get in the tank which keeps the water fairly clean and washes off any particles that could go through the filtration system. About 50% of your body is out of the tank at all times, plus the user is not producing sweat. The tank is a naturally dark environment which inhibits growth of pathogens that require light to live. The water is also sterilized through a filtration system.
What if I do not like closed spaces and I am claustrophobic?
You are in total control of the tank at all times, the door is not heavy and you can leave it open. Floating actually helps people deal with and confront fears. You can get in and out as you please and please do whatever makes you comfortable; we are happy to help with whatever needs to be done.
Who can't float?
Please do not get in a tank if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, have infectious diseases, open skin wounds, of if you have epilepsy and are not under medical control.
Can you sleep in a tank?
People do sleep in the tank and it is totally safe, go for it!
Can you drown in a tank?
It is nearly impossible to drown in a float tank. There is so much salt that it makes it very difficult to roll over and on top of that people have a hard time tolerating the salt in their eyes, mouth, nose etc. when on their stomachs and immediately turn over.

What is floating?
Sensory deprivation: Picture a room where you undress, rinse off, and slip into a tank, a tank where nothing is going on but you. You're laying in a tub filled with 10 inches of water and approximately 800 lbs of Epsom salt. You have no idea as to where your body ends and the water begins; The water is the same temperature of your skin. Just like the salt dissolves into the water, so do you. In the float tank your senses are deprived and you are able to explore the cognitive, spiritual, and emotional parts of yourself that you've never quite had the chance or felt safe enough to be alone with. It is a place where gravity does not exist. Ninety percent of your central nervous system's activity is used up by gravity; imagine what your brain could do with all of that unburdened energy. Even when you are sleeping your body is fighting temperature, gravity, light, and sound; in the tank there is none of that. It is the deepest state of rest your body can have and rest is where you heal. In the tank you are in control, you choose what happens, it is a place for you to dream, create, visualize, and become the ultimate thinker that you already are. The sky is literally the limit. If you have fears that you want to face, face them, questions that need answers, answer them, you are in control. Floating forces you into producing different brain waves known to aid in reduced anxiety, reduce chronic pain, improved memory, healing, and many others. It can be used to deal with stress, become a better student, create ideas, solve problems, deal with pain, anxiety, help with your overall mental health, and pain associated with Fibromyalgia. It is a place for athletes to rest and recover. It helps reduce cortisol levels which are associated with stress and weight gain. You can detoxify within the tank, reduce migraines, relieve inflammation in joints, strengthen your immune system, and improve skin tone. Everyone can benefit from floating. The benefits are amazing and its all non invasive. It is empowering to be able to go somewhere to get in touch with your inner self. Floating gives you the power to resolve your problems in the mind, body, and spirit. Why not take advantage of that?
